POCKET BABY GANESH

Description

The son of Shiva and Parvati is said to be one of the most powerful deities. The boy with the elephant head is one of the most recognizable symbols of the spiritual world, but his features go deeper than you could first imagine. The large elephant ears invite you to listen, the blooming stomach reminds us that we should ever be in the process of digesting life, and the generous head encourages us to think big. The story of the Lord Ganesh is all about overcoming obstacles and being thrown off course by the hardships that accompany this great life.

The broken tusk of Ganesh tells us that we should keep hold of the good in life but discard that which does not serve us. His tiny eyes tell us that focus helps us to achieve all that we need, and his rosebud sized mouth is a gentle nudge to speak less and learn to listen more. Traditionally, in his four hands he holds a rope to pull us up to pure freedom, in the other he holds an axe to cut attachments, he holds a bowl of sweets to represent the rewards that await when we grow our spiritual selves, and he holds the blessing of the Mudra.

This Mini Pocket Ganesh keeps things simple but communicates the same lessons as the detailed Ganesh. Capturing the deity’s calm demeanor, he brings peace, power and the path to success straight to your altar, purse or pocket.
